About the Prize
Warner Music Group is pleased to announce the launch of the Warner Music Prize. The $100,000 cash prize will be awarded annually to a classical musician aged 35 or under who demonstrates exceptional talent and outstanding promise. For the prize’s inaugural year, all eligible candidates will be drawn from instrumentalists and singers presented on Carnegie Hall’s three stages in significant solo roles during the 2014-15 season.
A jury of world-renowned classical musicians and industry leaders will evaluate the performances and select a winner. On October 20, 2015, Augustin Hadelich was announced as the 2014/15 winner.
